I think the ambitious bug bit me this weekend because in part from refinishing my
nesting tables, I also took on the bathroom. Picture me with a paint brush in one hand and roller in the other. Then picture my husband shaking his head with doubt written all over his face. You see, this was the first real "home project" I took on all by myself. Nate has always helped me in the past with painting so this was a
scary new adventure for me.
(which in the picture it looks like it has a brown undertone but in person, it's quite gray)
So let me throw in a before picture of the bathroom and summarize its issues...
For starters, that fish bowl blue was driving me crazy.
Had to go.
Next, we have the lovely dark cherry sink base clashing with the black hardwood floor.
I'm still trying to decide what color to paint the base.
And overall, I would like a new vibe for the bathroom. Right now, my bathroom reads bland/nautical.
I want something fresh and bold so we'll see what I come up with in the near future.
Annnd here she is with her new paint!
Honestly, it's not a huge difference but so many options for decorating have opened up now that I have a neutral gray to work around. I'm thinking pops of yellow would look nice or maybe soft pinks?
I plan to replace the mirror and window covering as well.
I'll keep you posted as the project progresses!
